At Bow Central Mosque, we believe the entire community should have equal access to their local Mosque. For this reason, with your kind donations, we have recently launched a dedicated sisters' only area at the first-floor of the Mosque. The comfort and convenience sisters visiting Bow Central Mosque is exceptional. We have more work to do still, but alhamdulillah - sisters can now attend the Mosque at any time for quiet meditation, or to join the congregation for any of the five daily salah - including jumu'ah on Fridays.

The entire area can hold up to 70 sisters at any given time. And if the demand becomes higher, Mosque management are able to accommodate more sisters by opening the partition door to allow the entire floor to be used. This allows upto 200 sisters to pray. The sisters area is connected with the congregation via their own projector and live video relay from the minbar area.

Please use the entrance on the left side of the Mosque marked "Ladies Entrance" to enter the Sister's area. A staircase will lead you up to it directly. It is also possible to reach the sisters' area through the main Mosque doors.

Opening Times

The Sisters' Area is active permanently and open at all time the Masjid is open. If you are in the locality, you may pop in for your salah, to read the Qur'an or for quiet meditation. Should you wish to attend a particular jamat, please use our Prayer Times page to find the Jamat timing of the salah. Friday Jumuah Khutba starts at approximately 1:00PM and the main jamat is at 1:30PM.

Disabled Access

At the moment, unfortunately there is no disabled access. We have plans inshaAllah, in the future to install a stairway-lift inside the Mosque for sisters.

Pushchairs

Space is very limited for pushchairs. If you have one, you may leave it at the bottom of the staircase, just inside the front door of the Ladies' Entrance.- If possible, please fold up the pushchair and ensure it is not a trip hazard.

The new sisters' wudu area will be interconnected to the sisters' area and will feature modern amenities such as automatic taps, under-floor heating, baby change facility etc. and have a hygienic interior design. We apologise for the inconvenience while the new sisters' wudu area is built.
