Phase 2 - (2008 to 2011)

Extension of Ground Floor into Courtyard, 1st Floor Prayer Hall Construction, Interior Refurbishment of Mosque Including Basement (COMPLETED)

Phase 2 started in 2008. Although complete, we have additional plans to build a new wudhu area downstairs for brothers, design a sisters' only area on first floor (and assign the first-floor wudhu area for sisters only after a refurbishment). Phase 2 objectives were to extend the ground floor main prayer hall into the courtyard which was used as an outdoor dining area by the pub. The first floor consisted of small rooms which were all redone to incorporate a large prayer hall that also extended to the courtyard.

The following is the Phase 2 floor-plan of the Main Prayer area (ground floor) which is now complete. Visitors will notice modern interior decor and lighting and a more comfortable prayer experience. Notable changes in phase two was to take out the small stair case inside a room with an exposed, centralised high-capacity stair case leading to the first floor. The courtyard area was included in the new ground floor floor-plan.
